The world famous Golden Sands resort was awarded the International Blue Flag award as ecological clean region. Planned as a ´quiet holiday zone´, Golden Sands stretches along the beautiful nature and coolness at the foot of the protected Nature park ´Golden Sands´, which is preserved in its natural look and reaches the beach.

Golden Sands is named after its famous golden and lovely sand on the 100m wide and about 4km long beach.

The Golden Sands resort is located 17km north of the city of Varna, between Albena resort and St. St. Konstantin and Elena resort.

Golden Sands is famous as the pearl of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast because of its natural beauty – wonderful climate, unique nature park, exquisite golden sand and healthy hot springs.

• The Aladja monastery, declared as a National monument of the culture in 1957;
• ´Katakombite´ – a large group of caves, situated on three different levels;
• A Basilica and late-ancient fortress dated IV – VII c. in the region ´Kaleto´;
• The relics of a Slav settlement found in the region of ´Kozgun cheshma´;
